Frightened and alone

HE DIDN’T run off because we’re bad parents. In fact, we were trying to do the right thing by taking him to our vet for the operation so he could come in the house and behave like a gentleman. But, only five feet from the vet’s door, he had a surge of adrenaline and somehow broke out through the pet carrier door.
This all took place on Anderson Street in Emporia. He was so frightened to be out of his element that he didn’t respond to our calling his name — he just ran. Can’t you just imagine how disoriented and scared he must have been.
His name is Mister. He loves people. He’s orange in color. And he has a stub tail. Have you seen him? Has he tried to move in with you? We miss him so much, and are offering a $50 reward to the kind person who returns him to us. Cats are unique creatures. And there will never be another Mister. Hey! I just raised the reward to $75. Call me at 342-7063 and give me the good news he found you ... please.
