Today
The Rotary Club meets at noon at the Emporia Country Club, 18th Avenue and Rural Street.
Single Adult Fellowship group meets at 6 p.m. every Tuesday at Coach’s, 2702 W. 15th Ave. Information: Rufus Hobbs, 392-5780.
The Kiwanis Club meets at 6:15 p.m. in the Commander’s Room at the American Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave.
The Emporia Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Best Western Hospitality House, 3021 W. Highway 50. Information: Clara Elkins at 342-5274.
The Twin Rivers Chapter of Sweet Adelines meets at 7 p.m. in the basement of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1408 W. 12th Ave. Information: 342-9419 or 342-4850, evenings.
The American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5 regular meeting is at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave. (2nd and 4th tuesday), where the American Legion Auxiliary meets at 9 a.m. the second Tuesday of the month. The Sons of the American Legion Post 5 meets at 7:30 p.m. second Tuesday of each month.
Wednesday
The Sunrise Rotary Club meets at 7 a.m. at the Regency Gardens, 3021 W. Highway 50.
AARP Chapter 285 meets at 11:30 a.m. at the Regency Gardens. The program will be given by Sen. Jim Barnett about the legislative session.
The public is welcome to attend.
Military Order of the Purple Heart meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Army Reserve Center, 1412 E. Sixth Ave. Information: Aaron Bura, 342-4381.
Lyon County Chapter 36 Disabled American Veterans meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Army Reserve Center, 1412 E. Sixth Ave. The Auxiliary meets at 7:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at the same location at 7:30 p.m.

The Flint Hills Optimist Club meets at noon at the ESU Memorial Union.
The Hi-Noon Kiwanis Club meets at noon at the Emporia Country Club, 18th Avenue and Rural Street.
The Sertoma Club meets at noon at the American Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave. Members will make preparations for the annual Ag Diner.
The Emporia Model Railroad Club meets at 7:30 p.m. at 916 Arundel St. the last Thursday of each month. Those interested in model or prototype railroading are welcome to attend. Information: 343-8325.

The Emporia Chess Society meets from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Granada Coffee Company and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. every Saturday at Pyramid Pizza. All ages and skill levels are welcome, including children. There is no charge.
Alpha Sigma and Alpha Zeta chapters will have a joint planning meeting and carry-in dinner at 5:30 p.m. at the Americus United Methodist Church. Hostesses will be Mary Clare White, Virginia Boettcher and Melba Roswurm.
Emporia Masonic Lodge 12 meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 424 Merchant St.
