Farmers Market  The first Farmers Market, organized by the Americus Chamber of Commerce, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. June 6 on the west side of the Americus City Park. All vendors are welcome and will be responsible for their own activities and sales. There will be no pre-registeration or vendor fee. For information, (620) 443-5480.

Memorial weekend flowers

The Sunflower 4-H Club members and parents assisted with the placing of flowers in the Americus Cemetery on Wednesday. Those assisting were: Sandy Karr, Olen Karr, Chrysanne Karr, Randal Karr, Alisha Karr, Grace McAllister, Karis McAllister, Mark McAllister, Matthew McAllister, Hope McAllister, Lynn McAllister, Stacie Horton, Dillon Horton, Kara Horton, Lakin Preisner, Lori Houck, Brittney Houck and Kaitlin Houck.

Others who participated were Jackie Edmiston and Belle Grimsley.

High school reunion  The Americus Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Hospitality Room for the Americus High School Alumni Association on Saturday.
