A 20-year-old man died this weekend at Pomona State Park of a possible lightning strike.
According to a press release by the Osage County Sheriff’s Department, the man was found dead at the park early Saturday morning. The name has not been released as of this morning by the Osage County Sheriff’s Department, however, WIBW Channel 13 in Topeka is reporting the man to be Nathan Sullivan. WIBW also reported the funeral will be Wednesday in Raymore, Mo.
The death is being investigated by the Osage County Sheriffs Department and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Park. Three other people were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with injuries possibly caused by lightning.
