An interview with Emporian Roger Heineken will be broadcast Saturday on Family Radio’s KPOR radio station at 90.7 FM.
The 15-minute interview, conducted by KPOR broadcaster Larry Vavroch, will profile the legacy of the late Gazette editor and publisher William Allen White and the late Gazette reporter and poet Walt Mason. Heineken also will bring listeners up to date about the William Allen White House State Historic Site here and will read Mason’s best-known poem, “The Little Green Tents,” which was written for Memorial Day.
Heineken has done extensive research into the lives of both White and Mason.
