Democrat Mike Dorcey filed for the county clerk position Thursday morning via petition. Lyon County Clerk Karen Hartenbower said the signatures were checked Thursday morning and Dorcey has enough.

“...So he will be on the ballot as a Democrat,” Hartenbower said.

Dorcey will run against Republican Tammy Vopat.
