Movies for children this summer

Emporia’s Flinthills 8 Theatre at the Flinthills Mall, 15th Avenue and Industrial Road, offers a summer series of movies for children. All movies are rated G or PG and cost $2 per person. Punch tickets good for 10 tickets are available for $7. Show times are 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
The movies scheduled this year are “Surf’s Up” June 10-12, “Alvin and the Chipmunks” June 17-19, “Shrek the Third” June 24-26, “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything: A Veggietales Movie” July 1-3, “Bee Movie” July 8-10, “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium” July 15-17, “Evan Almighty” July 22-24 and “Charlotte’s Web” July 29-31.
