Vopat on ballot

Lyon County Clerk Karen Hartenbower said her office has completed checking the signatures on the petition for Republican Tammy Vopat, candidate for county clerk, and has found more than enough valid signatures to validate the petition.
Vopat’s name will go on the ballot.
Lyon County will get a new county clerk next year. Hartenbower announced in January that, after 16 years in office, she would not seek re-election.
