Honored at Newman U.
Joe Sliter of Hartford and Jordan Schawe of Madison, both recipients of the Cardinal John Henry Newman scholarships at Newman University, were among the 32 top academic high school students honored as “First Class Jets” on April 25 at the Newman University annual recognition ceremony. The “Jets” program honors students for their achievements.
In honor society
The Kansas State University chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu, an honor society for human ecology students, included two area students as initiates: Brittany Dennis of Eureka, sophomore studying food and nutrition-exercise science; and Erica Stevenson of Olpe, sophomore studying communication sciences and disorders.
