The H. Dale Buck Animal Welfare Fund was honored recently at the Sixth Annual Pet Humanitarian Awards dinner sponsored by The Pet Connection in Mission. The Buck Fund was nominated for “Rescue of the Year” and was awarded a Crystal Paw in recognition of its work in the Emporia community and beyond.
According to a news release, the Buck Fund is involved in many collaborative efforts in animal rescue, transport and community outreach spay and neuter projects.
At the dinner, the Buck Fund also won free spaying and neutering services, Frontline products, pet food and toys for foster cats and dogs.
HELP Humane from Kansas City won the “Pet Humanitarian of the Year” award this year.
