What started as an idea and a dream four and half years ago is now the new Peter Pan Playground in Peter Pan Park. What made the dream a reality is the people of Emporia, who turned out by the hundreds to make building this playground not only a great gift to the children of Emporia but also a remarkable community-building event.
We want to say “Thanks!” for all the contributions of money, time and effort that went into making this not only a wonderful playground but an exceptional experience. And we ask all who participated to thank themselves and thank each other for seeing the vision and stepping forward to make it happen. However, if you haven't already, you might really want to reward yourself by visiting the playground now to hear the peels of laughter and squeals of delight coming from the hundreds of children who are visiting it every day. Great job, Emporia!
