These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: continental choice.
Friday: continental choice.
Lunch
Monday: cook’s choice or cheeseburger on a bun, fries or chips, baby carrots and dip, oranges or fruit cup.
Tuesday: cook’s choice or crispitos or burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce or fruit cup.
Wednesday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie.
Thursday: EHS no lunch, LNIS sack lunch, pizza, salad, mixed fruit cup, cake or cookie.
Friday: Last day of school. EHS, no lunch, corn dog, chips, baby carrots and dip, fruit choice.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: ham, roasted baby bakers, lima beans, rye bread, fruited gelatin.
Tuesday: scalloped chicken, broccoli, wheat roll, cantaloupe.
Wednesday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake and ice cream.
Thursday: chef salad, bean salad, crackers, bran muffin.
Friday: beef and noodles, stir fry vegetables, wheat roll, pineapple-mango paradise.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: oven-fried chicken, potato salad, broccoli-cauliflower salad, bread, jello cake.
Wednesday: salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, bread, heavenly hash salad.
Thursday: turkey ala king, coleslaw, bread, mixed fruit, sherbet.
Friday: cook’s choice.
