Emporia High School students brought home several awards from the Kansas Student Technology Leadership Competition held last week at Kansas State University in Manhattan.
Eight students represented EHS, which was one of 40 schools participating in the competition, according to Corey Wiltz, video broadcasting instructor. The videos are posted on the E-Vision web site at www.usd253.org/evision.
Awards received by EHS students were: Nirav Patel, fifth, Web Site category for the E-Vision web site; Troy Laflin, Jodie Hollern, and Andrew Wayman, fifth, Video Production, for news story on the Dody family and cystic fibrosis; Michael Young and Taylor Surmeier, second, Public Service Announcement, anti-bullying PSA; Laflin, fourth,Technology Integration; Hollern and Wayman, fourth, Multimedia on cable Channel 8 and EHS Channel 2.
