5 ESU women’s tennis players named All-MIAA

Led by a pair of first-team All-MIAA honors from senior Natalie Villaflor, the Emporia State women’s tennis team had five players honored on the All-MIAA women’s tennis team.
Villaflor took first-team distinction at both No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles. She won her first 14 singles matches of the season.
Marcela Bayon also was a first-team selection at No. 1 doubles, as she and Villaflor have compiled a 15-2 record this year.
Amanda Morris was named Freshman of the Year after going 13-2 at No. 1 singles and 13-2 in No. 3 singles with partner Audrey Sherman. Morris also was an honorable mention No. 3 singles and doubles player.
Sherman took second-team honors at No. 5 singles, while Bayon (No. 1 singles) and Kirsten Ford (No. 6 singles) also earned honorable mention.
