New businesses
Sandy and Clarence Kayser have opened a new shop at 317 Main St. next door to the Corner Garage. The shop is called KS CyberShed ReSale Shop and has antiques, collectibles, vintage items and good used items. The Wasylk Used Car Lot, 418 Main St., is located at the site of the former Katy Drive-In and has been in operation several months.
Recreation organization
T-ball games will begin June 2. Games will be played Monday and Thursday evenings at 6 and 8 p.m. Members of the Americus Recreation Organization board are: Marcia Johnson; Tim Delcamp; Melissa Rich; Denise King; and Josh Hamlin.
