Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: Logan Ave. picnic. Pizza, tossed salad, strawberry-banana cup, cake.
Wednesday: burrito or crispitos, cheese sauce, nacho chips, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: Riverside picnic. Country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: WAW picnic. smokies or popcorn chicken, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: turkey tetrazzini, zucchini and tomaptoes, rosy applesauce, wheat roll, pears.
Tuesday: sloppy joe, pea salad, mixed vegetables, bun, cookie.
Wednesday: meatloaf, baked potato, Sicilian-blend vegetables, roll, cherry crisp.
Thursday: tuna salad, bun, broccoli-cheese soup, cake.
Friday: salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, Italian beans, wheat bread, pudding.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken-vegetable casserole, dilled cucumbers with sour cream, bread, pudding, frozen fruit cup.
Tuesday: honey-glazed pork chop, potato wedges, Italian-blend vegetables, bread, pineapple ambrosia.
Wednesday: beef stew, cottage cheese-vegetable salad, cornbread, fresh fruit.
Thursday: barbecue chicken, baked potato, greed beans, bread, mixed fruit.
Friday: chuckwagon steak, pasta-vegetable salad, coleslaw, rolls, peaches.
