Students honored by Rotary Club

Several students were honored as Flint Hills Technical College’s top students during Rotary’s meeting April 22 at the Emporia Country Club. Rotarians honored the students for their high academic achievement with a lunch and certificate of achievement. Bill Barnes, Rotary president, and Dean Hollenbeck, FHTC president, presented the certificates to the students.
The students selected to receive the award were the top three percent of students academically at Flint Hills Technical College. All of the students honored completed at least 20 credit hours and have a 4.0 grade point average.
Students honored included: Angela Bell, Emporia, computer program design and development; Mayra Lemus, Emporia, business administrative technology; Tate Neill, Virgil, automotive technology; John Pendlay, Reading, industrial engineering technology; Juan Ramirez, Emporia, industrial engineering technology; Wes Shepherd, Olpe, machine tool technology; Dan Stair, Emporia, machine tool technology; Steve Stone, Madison, network technology, Sherri Wright, Emporia, business administrative technology; and Byron Yeager, Emporia, automotive technology.
