Led by Fletcher Harder, the Emporia High golf team finished fifth out of 20 teams at the Junction City Invitational on Thursday.
EHS combined to shoot a 311, which was 15 strokes behind first-place Manhattan. Washburn Rural (297) was second, while Hayden (298) was third and Dodge City (301) took fourth.
Individually, Harder finished in 10th place, carding a 74 to lead the Spartans.
Matt McAnarney was 15th with a 76, while teammate Bren Fisher came in 24th with a 79.
Eric Reimer rounded out the team score with an 82.
Zach Young (90) was EHS’s other competitor.
The Spartan golf team will play host to the Emporia Invitational on Monday at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
