Emporia Schools

BREAKFAST

Monday: cereal and clodhoppers or PopTarts.

Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.

Wednesday: funnel cake or cereal and graham cookies.

Thursday: burrito or cereal and graham crackers.

Friday: little piggy or cereal and graham crackers.

LUNCH

Monday: hot ham and cheese on a bun, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.

Tuesday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, fruit cocktail, special tulip cookie.

Wednesday: beef taco, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, banana.

Thursday: chicken nuggets, dinner roll, cheesy potatoes, corn, peach half.

Friday: chili, corn chips, cinnamon roll, green beans, apple wedges.

Friendship Meals

EMPORIA

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.

Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: soft taco with cheese, lettuce, black bean salad, tortilla, pineapple.

Tuesday: parmesan chicken, scalloped potatoes, peaches, wheat bread, brownie.

Wednesday: sliced turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.

Thursday: meatballs, fettucini alfredo, California-blend vegetables, bread, cherry crisp.

Friday: lasagna, Italian vegetables, mandarin oranges and peaches, Texas toast, cookie.

NORTH LYON COUNTY

Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: sweet and sour chicken, rice, Italian-blend vegetables, wheat bread, peaches with topping.

Tuesday: Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, cucumbers and onions, bread, five-cup salad.

Wednesday: ham and beans, V-8 juice, cornbread, fruited gelatin, brownies.

Thursday: smothered chicken, rice pilaf, carrots, bread, mandarin oranges.

Friday: Swiss steak with tomatoes, baked potatoes, green beans, rolls, cinnamon apples.
