Monday is the last day for people whose last names begin with the letter B to renew their vehicle registrations without a penalty.
Proof of insurance is required for renewal.
The Motor Vehicle Department in the Lyon County Courthouse is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Online school
The Insight School of Kansas, part of the nation’s largest network of online high schools, will be host for information sessions from 10 a.m. to noon April 26 at the Best Western Hospitality House, 3021 W. Highway 50. A complete list of other information session locations and schedules can be seen at www.insightks.net.
According to the news release, Insight School of Kansas, offering more than 120 courses, is a full time, diploma-granting online high school that is tuition-free for Kansas residents through a partnership with Spring Hill Unified School District. Students are able to complete their studies at their own speed, in their own setting, using a school-supplied laptop with wireless capability, a printer and reimbursement for the Internet.
