Spaghetti supper at church
The 12th annual Spaghetti Supper at the First Congregational Church, 12th Avenue and State Street, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday. The event, which is open to the public, raises money for the church’s special projects fund.
The menu will include spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread, choice of dessert and beverage. The recommended donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children 3 through 10 years; children under 3 eat at no charge.
Those who attend need to enter on the west side of the church. An elevator is available for people who need assistance to the downstairs dining room.
Sunday dinner
The Reading United Methodist Women will have a homecooked dinner at noon Sunday at the church. They will serve roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cake and ice cream. The cost is $6 each.
