A visitor from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth will speak Wednesday in one of Emporia State University’s last events to mark Women’s History Month.
Maj. Beth Behn will appear at 7 p.m. in 330 Visser Hall to discuss the role of women in the military today. During her military career, she has received a number of awards, including the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Iraq Campaign Medal. She’s now a student and part-time instructor at the Command and General Staff College.
The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact ESU Ethnic and Gender Studies Program Director Karen Smith at 341-5570.
