The Emporia State baseball team jumped five spots to No. 10 in the latest College Baseball newspaper poll.
The Hornets (21-3), who were ranked 15th last week, have won 14 straight games and are a perfect 8-0 in the MIAA.
ESU plays again tonight, traveling to Wichita to face Newman at 6. The Hornets defeated the Jets, 27-10, in seven innings last week in Emporia.
ESU’s next home games will be this weekend, starting with a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Friday against Southwest Baptist.
