Emporia State senior DeAndre Townsend added another honor on Thursday, as he was selected to the NABC All-South Central Region’s second team.
Townsend joined Southwest Baptist’s Jim Grabowski as the only two MIAA representatives on the second team. Meanwhile, SBU’s Matthew Rogers and Pittsburg State’s Cory Abercrombie were named to the All-Region first team.
This past year, Townsend became the first player in MIAA history to lead the league in both points and assists. He also had nine games where he recorded at least 20 points and five assists.
