Pleased with Newman

I guess one could say that I’ve been converted.

I’ll never complain about Newman Regional Health hospital.

Yes, I’ve been in the hospital again — and as Forrest Gump would say, again and again and again.

I’ve seen their patients’ rooms and their many helpful and cheerful nurses, always there with the push of a button.

I’ve seen their X-rays, their cat-scan.

I’ve seen their cleaning ladies scrubbing everything that was scrubbable.

I’ve seen their outpatient surgery rooms where the nurse places those “stickum” patches on me to fasten their wires to.

One nurse to hold my hand and watch the monitor, one to help the doctor.

It seems to me that every part of Newman Regional Health is planned and managed to care for the second most valuable thing I have, my health. The most valuable is my family and I’m sure if they were called on to help any of my family, they would do the same for them.

That's interesting because during my stay at Newman a few months ago things were much different than what is described here. I cannot describe many of the nurses as cheerful. In fact, most seemed generally unconcerned about me. The cleaning lady was kinder and more concerned about my condition than the nurses were.

Interesting, in deed, twice I had been in there to have my babies, and in both occasions I had to ask them to come and take the trash out of my trash cans. Doctors and nurses were OK, but that little thing, I think is not right. It was the 4th floor.
