Weather permitting, on Wednesday, March 19, K-130 will close in Lyon County for a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad repair project. K-130 will be closed at the BNSF railroad crossing located in Neosho Rapids. The railroad repair project is scheduled to be completed on Friday, March 21, weather permitting.
A marked detour will be provided. Traffic will detour using local city roads. During the road closure, drivers should expect minor delays and are advised to use alternate routes, if possible.
The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through work zones.
