For anyone wishing to hay roadsides in the Kansas Department of Transportation’s right-of-way, it’s time to get permits for the 2008 season.
KDOT issued a press release that states that permit applications are available at any KDOT office and are good for one year or a specified haying season. Access to right-of-way will be determined by KDOT.
Landowners who have land adjacent to the right-of-way will be given permit priority until March 31. After that date, permits will be issued in the order they are received.
Any person, firm or corporation seeking to hay the right-of-way will need to submit a permit application to the KDOT office in their area.
