Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, Mediterranean vegetables, applesauce.
Tuesday: tator tot casserole, carrots, strawberries, bread, cheesecake.
Wednesday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake and ice cream.
Thursday: beef stew, cottage cheese with raw vegetables, crackers, pineapple chunks.
Friday: tuna salad, broccoli-cheese soup, bun, cake.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: corned beef and cabbage, boiled potatoes, bread, mixed fruit.
Tuesday: hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes, lima beans, bread, peaches, bar cookie.
Wednesday: chicken and noodles, peas and carrots, wheat bread, blushing pears.
Thursday: ham with pineapple, potatoes romanoff, green beans, roll, springtime salad, cheesecake with fruit.
Friday: potato soup, meat salad sandwich, lettuce, tomato, crackers, Watergate salad.
