Lyon County commissioners had a quiet meeting Thursday morning during which they passed a resolution endorsing Emporia’s Comprehensive Plan.
Kevin Hanlin of city zoning asked Lyon County commissioners to take a look at the plan during their study session on Wednesday. Hanlin said the county’s endorsement was sought because the plan serves the city’s and the county’s growth.
Lyon County Commission Chairman Scott Briggs said this morning that commissioners passed the plan.
In other matters:
- Commissioners approved a bid for carpeting in the Lyon County Annex elevator and an office in the Lyon County Attorney’s Office.
- Commissioners read in a proclamation declaring March Red Cross Month.
- Commissioners approved rocking Road 115 from Road M west approximately 1,800 feet for a new home in the area.
