LIVE UPDATE: Bishop Carroll 69, Emporia High boys 62; FINAL

The Spartans began the game on a 7-0 run before Bishop Carroll closed out the first quarter on a 12-5 run to tie it at 12.
The Eagles then outscored EHS, 18-11, in the second quarter to go into halftime ahead 30-23.
Emporia then came out of the break on a 13-4 run to take a 36-34 lead.
But Carroll responded by outscoring the Spartans 9-3 to close out the third period, taking a 43-39 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Eagles went on an 8-0 run to start the fourth quarter to push the lead to 51-39 with 6:00 remaining.
Emporia cut the lead to six points twice in the final minute but could get no closer.
Caydrick Bloomquist had 24 points to lead EHS in scoring.

He played here his freshman year than he transfered to Burlington than transfered to Bishop Carroll when his mother got a job teaching in Wichita , he was a spartan at one time. We all know why he left !
