The ship has returned from Pirate Cove full of treasure! The Flint Hills Technical College’s annual auction raised a record-breaking $26,000 to support students.
Each sponsor, donor, volunteer and auction attendee helped make it possible for the FHTC Foundation to continue to provide resources to fulfill its mission to “assist students with scholarships and support the mission of the college by enhancing educational opportunities that lead to employment and continuous learning.” Everyone in attendance had a great time and very generously showed their support for technical education and the students of FHTC.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. This event continues to grow each year and has become something a lot of people look forward to. It is not only fun, it is raises money for a wonderful cause -—the students of FHTC. Many students and staff contributed their time and talents toward this event. We were especially excited to have Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing–Central as our honorary hosts for the evening,” said Jodi Heermann, executive director of advancement.
