Dog uninjured in accident

The driver of an Emporia animal control vehicle involved in an injury accident earlier this week is set to return to work and a miniature pinscher that was in the truck during the time of the accident was not hurt.
Emporia Police Department Deputy Chief Mike Williams said this morning that Amanda Collins, 21, who was driving the animal control vehicle is set to return to work after having to be extriciated out of the vehicle Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Williams said the dog that was in the animal control truck was not injured.
