Downtown forum
The public will have the opportunity to learn about downtown development and have input in what they’d like to see happen in the downtown area at a public forum next week.
Kayla Oney, director of Emporia Main Street, said that the public forum will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday in the City Conference Room in the Civic Building. The meeting’s host will be the Community Initiative Development Group. Oney said Anderson MacAdam Architects will be at the meeting to discuss projects and plans for the downtown area.
“It’s open to the public to view plans and make suggestions,” Oney said.
The purpose of the meeting is to learn what people want to see in the downtown area in the future.
“People are welcome to share suggestions and be informed as far as what’s been talked about,” Oney said.
