Biscuits and gravy on Saturday
Biscuits and gravy will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Masonic Lodge, 551 Broadway. The proceeds will be used for various lodge projects. For information, Claude Roswurm (620) 443-5570.
Library requests yearbooks
Anita Westcott, Americus Township Librarian, would like to have yearbooks from the Americus High School to add to the historical collection room. Books from all years are needed.
The library is located at 710 Main Street and is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1 to 5:30 p.m.; Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Planning for Americus Days
Americus Days will be October 4, 2008. The committee will start planning soon and invites everyone interested to volunteer. New ideas are always welcome, the committee said in a news release. For information, call Lacie Hamlin, (620) 481-0213.
