Nurse recognition ceremony includes scholarship awards

Emporia State University’s Newman School of Nursing recognized achievements and awarded scholarships during the school’s annual student nurse recognition ceremony, held May 16 in Albert Taylor Hall on the ESU campus.
Heather Wilson, graduating senior, received the Cora Miller Award. This recognition honors an outstanding graduating student who demonstrates leadership in nursing and academic excellence. Jennifer Frey received the Frances Stout award recognizing excellence in clinical nursing.
Sophomore nursing students received their nursing caps, gifts and certificates. Junior class members received their caps with second-year ribbons, gifts and certificates. Senior students received their graduation pins, and each received a gift from the Newman Regional Health medical staff.
Scholarships and the students receiving them include:
