Fletcher Harder’s Day Two improvement wasn’t quite enough to get him to the third day of the Kansas Junior Amateur golf championships in Manhattan.
After shooting a 77 on Tuesday, the Emporia High graduate fired a 76 on Wednesday to put himself in 16th place in the 18-and-under division.
The top 15 golfers advanced to today’s final round.
Harder’s high school teammate Bren Fisher ended his tournament with an 11-over 155 to finish in a tie for 17th. He shot a 77 on Wednesday after carding a 78 on Tuesday.
Eric Reimer was the only other EHS graduate participating, finishing in 27th with a 16-over 160 after shooting an 84 on Wednesday.
