The Emporia AAAs dropped a pair of road games on Sunday, losing 10-6 and 7-6 to Ottawa.
Despite a flurry of offense in both games, Emporia was doomed not by an abundance of errors, but rather, the AAAs fell victim to the timing of a few costly errors in both games, coach Aaron Lechien said.
“We had a few key errors,” Lechien said. “We don’t make a ton of errors, but it’s the timing of the errors. If we could make those errors not at a point where they have guys on second or third with two outs, or with the bases loaded, we’d have a better shot at winning these games.”
