RECENTLY, a festival in Cheyenne, Wyo., had a “Dunk a Democrat” fundraiser. Five dollars and a good pitching arm would plunge a Democrat into chilly water in the dunk tank. The money went to support the county’s Democratic Party.
As city leaders continue discussions about building a new fire station or repairing Fire Station No. 2, I wonder if firefighters have been thinking about holding some fundraisers to help the city out.
If the city commission doesn’t approve a new fire station, I wonder if firefighters will be organizing a “Dunk a Commissioner” fundraising event?

Not just the firefighters. I suspect the cops would be happy to contribute to the cause too. Watch what is happening to the budgets and very simple changes like police cars and letting them do their jobs.
