Vacation Bible School

• Messiah Lutheran Church, 1101 Neosho St., offers Power Lab: discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Adults are included during the VBS event organized by Emporia’s St. Mark’s Lutheran, St. Andrew’s Episcopal and Emporia Presbyterian churches. Events with the Beach Party: Surfin’ Through the Scriptures theme will be from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Monday through Friday at Emporia Presbyterian West Campus, 1702 W. 15th Ave. Classes are for children who have completed pre-school through 6th grade and adults will meet for a light dinner and discussion with the three pastors. The last night will include a family barbecue at 6 p.m. and concert by A20 (Altered to Offer), a local Christian band .

• Sacred Heart Catholic Church is offering Religious Education from 8:45 to noon Monday to June 27. All young people will meet at the Parish Hall, except on Thursday when they will meet at church for Mass. Call 342-1061.

• Saffordville United Methodist Church concludes their VBS with a program at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Americus Southern Baptist Church meets for worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, after Sunday school for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care is available for the morning service. Bible study begins at 6 p.m. Sunday.
