The Neosho Headwaters/John Redmond Reservoir Watershed Restoration & Protection Strategy (WRAPS) will hold a stakeholder leadership team meeting Wednesday at John Redmond Reservoir.

This meeting is open to the public and will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Shelter House No. 2 at dam site park at John Redmond Reservoir. A free dinner will be provided. RSVPs need to be made at the Coffey County Extension Office (620) 364-5313.

Topics that will be covered in the meeting will include sedimentation issues at the lake, how fast the sedimentation is building up, how it’s impacting public water storage and recreation at the reservoir. The meeting also will include a tour of streambank stabilization, riparian corridor restoration and wetlands projects above the reservoir in the Flint Hills Wildlife refuge.
