Delays at Turnpike

Crews today will be setting beams for a new bridge across the Kansas Turnpike at the Emporia toll plaza.

As beams are lifted into place by a large crane, traffic will be stopped on the Turnpike for both directions. This also likely will back up at detours on U.S. Highway 50 near the Turnpike.

Authorities estimated the delays would be about 10 minutes.
