The Lyon County Commission will meet for a study session beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Lyon County Commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse. Items on the agenda include:
• 8:15 a.m. — Commission, counselor and controller reports.
• 8:30 p.m. — Mark McKenna, of facilities management, will review elevator contract with Thyssen-Krupp and Interstate.
• 8:45 a.m. — Other business.
• 9 a.m. — Chip Woods, Lyon County engineer will review notice of road closing at Road 170 between Road N and Road P; review comparison of material costs in 2000, 2004 and 2008; review comparison of 2007 and 2008 expenses; review road and sign supervisor’s report; and review work report from May 16 to May 30.
• 9:45 a.m. — Ty Wheeler will discuss the 2009 appropriation.
• 10 a.m. — Bill Persinger, of the Mental Health Center of East Central Kansas will discuss the 2009 Mental Health Center funding.
