Relay for Life meeting
Planning begins Thursday for the next American Cancer Society Relay for Life, which has been moved from September to April 24 and 25, 2009. The date change for the relay came because of volunteer and staff issues, ACS officials said.
At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, an informational meeting and team captain kick-off will be held in Room 107 of Newman School of Nursing, 1127 Chestnut St.
Relay for Life involves teams of 8 to 15 members spending 12 hours taking turns walking to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
