A student handbook for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade and a middle-level mathematics textbook are on the agenda for the Emporia board of education to consider on Wednesday.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Mary Herbert Education Center.
The handbook and the textbook approval are the only two action items on the agenda, beyond the consent agenda of routine business items.
The consent agenda includes a request from a student for early graduation, a transportation request from Lyon County 4-H Club members, approval of the 2009 Food Service program agreement, a Juvenile Justice Authority grant request, and annual reports on quality performance.
The board has a budget workshop and study session scheduled on July 21, at Mary Herbert. The public budget workshop will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, and the budget hearing at 7 p.m. Both sessions also will be at Mary Herbert, 1700 W. Seventh Ave
