SOS wants volunteers
SOS is looking for volunteers to become advocates, who will answer the helpline, serve as role models for youth, provide support to victims and children, pick up donations, raise money and help out in the office or at a special event. They also are looking for bilingual volunteers for translation services or the duties listed above.
A victim advocate training program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 16 and from 5 to 8 p.m. June 17. SOS requests a $10 donation for a background check as part of the application process. For more information or to register, call 342-7943.
