Angel food orders due this week

Ribeye steaks are among the items offered for the June 21 food distribution through the Angel Food Ministries at Emporia Church of the Nazarene, Emporia Presbyterian, Grace United Methodist and Americus Presbyterian churches.
Each Angel Food box, which costs $30, will contain: 1.5 lbs. of ribeye steak (4),1.5 lb. hamburger patties, 2 lb. pork riblets, 4lb. individually quick frozen chicken leg quarters, 2 lb. breaded chicken tenders, 20 oz. supreme pizza, 7.5 oz. macaroni and cheese, 1 lb. mild Italian sausage, 24 oz. French fries, 1 lb. sliced carrots, 1 lb. mixed vegetables, Borden 2 percent reduced-fat shelf-stable milk, 6 oz. pancake mix, 15 oz. pork and beans, 14 oz. ketchup, 1 dozen eggs, 1 dessert item.
No income guidelines or eligibility requirements are applicable on Angel Food purchases, and there is no limit to the number of boxes per person. People who purchase one regular box are eligible to buy any of three bonus boxes.
In June, Bonus Box 1, for $20, will contain 24 oz. of T-bone steaks, 2 lb. of meaty baby back ribs, 2lb. thick-cut pork chops and 1 lb. of bratwurst sausage. Box 2, also $20, is a steak-and-meat combo with 2 lbs. of New York strip steaks, 2 lb. sirloin strips, and 1 lb. hamburger beef steaks. Box 3 will have 10 pounds of breaded chicken breast strips for $16.
Food stamps and cash are accepted as payment, and payment must be made at the time the order is placed. No personal checks will be accepted. Food not picked up at the designated times will be donated to others in need.
Orders may be placed at the following times and places:
• Nazarene, 2931 W. 24th Ave., 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday;
• Grace United Methodist, 2 Neosho St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, 2 to 6 p.m. Friday;
• Orders times for the Presbyterian churches may be had by calling the Emporia church, 342-0375, or the Americus church, (620) 443-5529.
