Real estate agents switch firms

Effective last Friday, four agents from Prudential Real Estate have moved to Re/Max.
“The transition has been seamless,” said Joel Phipps, broker/owner of the Re/Max office. “It has actually gone more smoothly than we anticipated.” According to Phipps, the agents will bring along their former Prudential clients. “The only difference will be the location,” he said. “Those clients who will be affected will be notified by mail.”
Re/Max will now have 11 agents, including the four from Prudential. Shirley Eubanks, Lee Garriott, Carol Krueger and Patrick Werly. Re/Max has been in business in Emporia since Phipps opened the franchise in 2002.
As for Prudential, broker Don Eusey said he will keep the office open part-time and will keep his current listings.
“I will stay in business as long as I can,” Eusey said. “I am working to fulfill my obligation to Prudential and will continue to do so.”
After teaching at the elementary school level, Eusey started in real estate in 1987 under Action Management. In 1995 he teamed with Mark Barrett to form Barrett & Eusey & Associates. Barrett left in 2004 and Eusey then affiliated with Prudential.
In addition to the part-time hours at the Prudential office, Eusey will be teaching business classes at Flint Hills Technical College.
“I’ve been looking forward to teaching again,” he said. “I want to stress that this office is not closing, he will keep the office open until something changes.
“I want to provide the best service that I can to my existing clients.”

I'm confused. Does this mean that Eusey is phasing out of real estate, and that the Prudential agents moved to Re/Max because he's going to shut down the office after his listings have been sold?

This article doesn't answer my question. Did the agents leave first, or did Mr. Eusey go part time first?
