The Emporia 10-and-under All-Stars beat Lyons 11-1 in the opening round of Cal Ripken State at Fort Scott on Friday.
Tate Demler started the game and picked up the win, and Bryce Baumwart came on in the third inning to pick up the save.
Emporia combined for 12 hits. The MVP of the game was Brady Baumgardner, and the WOW award winner was Ryan Mejia.
The All-Stars’ next game will be against the Haysville Dirtbags.
