Jumping at the Market
“Emporia High Jump Euphoria,” sponsored by the Emporia Track Club, will be held at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. today at the Emporia Farmers Market. The 5 p.m. time is open for anyone to jump, with a chance to try the high jump and vertical jump measurements using Vertec and electronic timing, said the news release. At 6 p.m., there will be an “Elite Exhibition” featuring middle school, high school and collegiate jumpers. Featured elite jumpers will be Alex Pyle, Jennifer Robinson and Craig Salfield, all of Emporia State University, and Brandon Childs of Emporia High School.
