Flint Hills Technical College dental hygiene students will offer dental clinics Aug 11 through Dec. 18.
The students will apply previous clinical and classroom instruction to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care. The clinic will be open to the public and clinic hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.
Clinical instructors will be on site to observe and provide instruction to the students to ensure quality care. Because the clinic is an instructional setting and students are in the learning process, appointments may be lengthy — up to three hours.
Services that will be provided by the students include adult cleaning, $30; child cleaning (12 and under), $20. Both cleanings include a fluoride treatment. Other services include: sealants, $10 per tooth; full mouth radiographic series, $25; quadrant scalings, $25 and bite-wing X-rays-$10.
The public can schedule appointments by calling 341-1336. The clinic is located at 3021 Eaglecrest Drive.
